Energy Provider choices

Info Request

I am trying to see if anyone has recently called around to all the companies that you can get electricity from thru Delmarva Power. My fire dept uses New Talen as the supplier and is charged a little under $.0630/kwh.

I have the list of companies just not the time to call around today. Curious to see if anyone has done so recently. We are classified as a Medium General Service if that matters. So far I've called 4 and they are all noticeably higher so I am thinking the past Treasurer did his due diligence and found the cheapest available. But just thought I'd compare.

I recall them coming door to door and have always been curious, but never enough to talk with them. Always felt like a scam when they came to my door.

Most of the door to door guys are scams a lot of the times. Get you to agree to terms and then when you get the bill you realize they were totally giving false info. But yes you can pick your supplier and from what I've found so far today is we are cheaper than anyone I've spoke with... by a noticeable amount.

I tell them to go take your scam someplace else!

Just important to do your research. Don't go with one that will lock you in a contract, unless it's a really good deal.

Did you ever get around to calling? Would be curious if you found anything cheaper.

I looked up like 8-10 links on their website and they were all over .01 per kwh hour more than what we pay now (from .0625 to .075-0.76 as the closest)

Has anyone heard of "Life Energy", they canvased our neighborbood asking to see our electricity bills to confirm we were getting peak credits. I showed them the door.

Most of the door to doors are sketchy. Rates miraculously aren’t what was promised or change 3 mths in
