I took this just after 7am on Thursday from the top of the Embassy Suites Hotel. Die-hards had been showing up on the Parkway since before midnight on Wednesday. I would have shared sooner, but cell phone service was abysmal all day.
That's cool. I found it bizarre that one of the stations (NBC I think?) were reporting from someone's balcony and had the family in the background when that reporter was talking. Fucking weird, do some stations not think ahead and plan where to station reporters without having to ask regular people on the street to come up to their apartments?

Cool shot, did you book a room specifically for the parade? Or find a way onto the roof?
Thanks. And neither. I work in TV and we were in one of the top-level media suites.

Yeah, I couldn't tell you how it worked exactly, but ABC had their shit together more than NBC. I was up with the photographers and police snipers.
