M4F - In the Elven Lands (fantasy, breeding)

NSFWLong Term RP

The sun sets over the tops of the vibrant green trees in the valley below, and I watch the breathtaking sight from my front porch, feeling a sense of contentment deep within. The elven lands are possessed of an unparalleled beauty, and even though I've lived here for some time now, the sights and sounds and smells of this place never fail to fill me with wonder. I've traveled many places in the world, and while there is beauty to be found in many places in the human lands, none of them compare to this place. It's why I chose to settle here.

A few years ago, a human building a home in elven lands would have been unheard of. Relations between our two races had been strained. But the demonic invasion had changed all that, with ancient portals opening and foul hosts pouring forth from the underworld to ravage our lands. The humans and elves had had to unite to stop them, and after a hard-fought war they had succeeded, destroying a great portion of the demonic host and driving the rest back through the portals. The demons' greatly diminished strength meant that it would be decades at least before the portals opened again.

After the war, elves became more accepting and welcoming toward humans than they had been previously. Especially toward heroes of the war; the elven lands had been the main target of the demons, and had they broken through the elvish defenses.... The elvish lands were home to laughter, joy, and beauty, and the loss of that would have been tragic, to say the least. The elves had made no secret of the debt they owed to the heroes of the war, the humans included.

I'd been surprised more than anything else to learn that I was considered one of the greatest heroes of the war. I hadn't started out as a soldier. I'd been a carpenter and a woodworker until the demons had attacked my village and killed nearly everyone there. I'd been left for dead when they tore my house down around me, and when I finally clawed my way out of the rubble, I'd sworn to do everything I could to stop the demons from casuing any more tragedies like the one I'd suffered.

So I'd taken up arms and fought, but although I did well on the battlefield, my main contribution to the war had been strategy. It turned out I had a natural talent for it. Time and again I would devise strategies to hold the defensive line around the elven lands against attackers much more numerous and ferocious, until we were finally able to turn the tide and push them back. By that time, I'd become a trusted adviser to the elven king.

And so when the war ended and he'd asked what I desired for a reward, I asked only to be allowed to build my home in their lands. I chose a spot that was close to the elven capital, yet somewhat isolated, and I built my house with wood from trees that had fallen naturally. I hunted for food, and though I'd never been much of a gardener, the soil here made it easy to grow vegetables. The beauty of this place called to me, and after the way, I'd looked forward to a life that was above all else, quiet and dull.

And that was what I'd gotten. Except for one thing.

Shortly after I'd established my home, young elf maidens began to visit me in the night. At first, I thought they'd simply found me by chance; elves were known to walk the woods at night, when the moonlight gave everything an unearthly glow. But I quickly realized that they weren't finding me by chance, and though they were polite and demure, it was also obvious that they hadn't come to look at the sights and talk about the beauty of their lands.

At first, I refused them, worried about repurcussions if I took them to my bed. But though I was older now, I was still a man, and eventually the temptation became too great. One night, when a maiden with hair black as night, crystal blue eyes, and a body that could have been sculpted out of fine alabaster let her dress slip to the ground in front of me, I took her hand and led her into my house. She left the next morning, her laughter speaking of life, music, and joy.

I waited afterward, nervous that a warband would soon come to escort me out of the elven lands, away from the home I'd made. But it didn't happen. And a few nights later, another maiden came to me. And a few nights after that, another. And more after them. Some even returned later after their first visit.

Eventually, I got used to it; something that made my living here even more pleasant. Some months after that first night, I began to see some of the maidens who'd visited me on my walks in the forest or when I visited the capital. Their bellies were beginning to swell, and when they saw me, they would meet my eyes, run their hands slowly over their newfound curves, and give me a knowing smile.

But nothing was ever said. The only time it was even referenced was when I was visiting the king. Neither of us brought it up directly, but he made it a point to tell me that elven tradition was for great heroes to leave strong bloodlines behind them, and all elves were free to do as they wished. He said no more about it after that.

So now, I have the life of peace I wanted, if not exactly the solitude I expected. The only time I can be certain I will be alone at night is when the moon is new and the forest dark. But if there is even a sliver of light in the sky, I always wait up to see if I will have a visitor.

And so I wait as the sun sinks below the horizon, relaxing on my porch as the half-moon slowly begins its climb into the sky.
