Obviously, this poem is topical given the tragedy today, that being said, what I appreciate is that this same poem (unfortunately) can be posted again and again on days similar to today. The repetition, the questions left unanswered, all mimic the repetitive and unanswered calls that surround these events. Every shooting people ask "What do we do?" and go unanswered. That being said, I do think that ending in rhyme, while done cleverly (particularly alone and atone as it is both eye and feminine rhyme!!!) ends the poem a little too sing-songy for my liking. I do not know if it needs to be changed, but I feel as if an abrupt stop, with no scheme, would help hammer in the serious nature of the poem's subject. Great work overall!!!
