No right turn?!

The intersection of CR537 and Iron Bridge Road in Freehold, NJ prohibits right turns completely coming from CentraState Medical Center. There doesn’t seem to be a plausible reason for this. Could anyone shed some light?

Didn't you see the sign?

"Welcome to New Jersey

Because Fuck You, That's Why."

I literally laughed out loud at this reply. My sister lives on Iron Bridge Rd. I honestly never heard of a “no right turn” at the hospital. I’ll have to drive by tomorrow and check it out!!

To discourage people from using the hospital road as a means to avoid a red light.

This makes sense. It seems like that road might get backed up in the morning, so drivers would cut through the hospital and make the right turn to avoid traffic. I see your thinking...

I guess they're trying to reduce traffic at that intersection by having people going right go out the other exit. You see that a lot in more urban areas as a way to manage traffic though it definitely seems out of place here

Too much traffic to make the turn and of course to make sure you cant bypass the light. Course you also cant make a right out of the hospital itself unless you go all the way around to the medical plaza entrance to head down 537w

Sounds like you went out the wrong way. You have to go out from the light
