A clarification on one of our new rules

A few weeks ago we posted that we'd updated some rules, and that one of the new rules is to not advertise any external friendship sites or apps. Since then we have been getting a lot of reports on posts about Discord servers, etc. for the "advertising external sites or apps" reason.

To clear things up: Advertising a Discord server is still okay! Same with Telegram, Kik groups, etc. As long as no one posts any contact information or invite links publicly it is completely within our rules to advertise outside chat groups. Check out our rule #4.

Rule #10, the "Do not advertise any external friendship site or apps" rule, does not apply to that. It applies to things like external friend making websites and apps people advertise.

Allowed: "Hey I have this Discord server, we're looking for new members, PM me for an invite!", or "Does anyone want to join my Kik group?"

Not allowed: "I made an app for meeting friends, here's the link, download it and sign up!" or "Hey checkout needafriend.com for all your friend making needs!"

Hopefully that clears things up and people can stop reporting things that do not need to be reported.
