It's the end of the month! Welcome to the Wednesday Wildcard Post! WOO!
This week we have a bit of a different version of our well-known Flash Fiction Challenge! This time, your location is going to be an illustration.
THE CHALLENGE:
PROMPT- Location: This Illustration By Deviantart user Bejzar! | Object: Some glass beads.
-
100-300 words
-
Time Frame: Now until this post is 24hrs old.
-
Post your response to the prompt above as a top level comment on this post.
-
The location needs to be the main setting, but feel free to be creative!
-
The object needs to be included in your story in some way.
-
Have fun reading and commenting on other people's posts!
I do have to mention that there are no prizes for this, other than bragging rights. Last month it was asked if the Flash Fiction Challenge gives out the WIN flair. The Flash Fiction Challenge does not give out WIN flair. You’re going to have to wait for one of the big competitions in order for a shot at that flair.
###A FEW TIDBITS:
-
Winners will be announced next week in the next Wednesday post.
-
I really thought that last month's would have been easier? Sorry. I’m still figuring this out.
-
This idea of an IP for a location comes from the lovely u/Syraphia. She is also on the panel of judges this time around.
###January’s Winners
A bunch of January’s stories seemed to all have a similar concept. The ones that shined the brightest happened to be the ones that avoided that concept, and then threw their own clever take on things. They can be found here. Now, onto the winners:
Runners up: #1: u/nickofnight and #2: u/13thOlympian
Two player co-op award: u/nickofnight's love letter and u/Lilwa_Dexel's not-so-fond letter back
