My Clouds Are Dead - A Nonsense Haiku
(I did a few fixes to this, namely taking into account that fire is two syllables, not one!)
Mom, my clouds are dead
Are you sure about that, son?
Yes, the clouds are dead.
Well, how do you know?
Look up, the clouds do not move.
Do not move? How so?
Take a closer look.
I am, but they are moving.
Those are not clouds, mom.
Okay, what are they?
It's smoke from a fire, mom.
Fire? Where is it?
In front of me, Mom.
Wait, you mean me, don’t you son?
Yeah, obviously.
It’s not obvious.
Mom, seriously? It’s not?
It’s really not.
But it is right there.
No, I don’t feel the fire.
How’s that possible?
I know more than you.
How can you say that though, mom?
Because I’m older.
Why does that matter?
It simply means I know more.
Okay, based on what?
I’ve seen more than you.
Yet you don't see the fire?
Son, there's no fire.
It’s right where you are!
I don’t feel it, so it’s not.
So, you really don’t.
No, so it’s not there.
Well then, look down and you’ll see.
No, I don’t need to.
This is frustrating...
Just calm down, nothing is wrong.
Yes there is, just look!
There's no fire here.
Mom, what the hell wrong with you?!
Hey! Don’t say bad words!
Mom, please, just, look up.
Why? What is so important?
Mom, my clouds are dead.
