Now that ive seen the frog, i dont know why it took me like 7 seconds to find it
Very happy to know I wasn’t the only one.
Or maybe he's really into vore. To each their own
How does it survive? I've heard those things can dissolve rodents
They can. It is probably killing him.
Grim
Reaper
Takes a long time to dissolve anything.
I feel like that's not a idea place to be...
Frogs do this all the time, they have no problems getting back out of the pitcher. They go down because they know insects fall into it and they get a free meal. Yes, if they stay down too long it'll affect them, but they typically don't.
DID THE FROG DIED?
Purple pitcher plant?
Don't think so (based on a google image search). It was growing wild-seeded in a nursery greenhouse, and I'm not sure of the species. It was more green (light/lime green)
Yeah, they have sweet juices to lure in small animals, and once the small animals go in, it closes and fills itself with dissolving juices (like acid) and drowns them in it to absorb nutrients from them
I used to have a purple pitcher plant and a Venus fly trap
r/natureismetal is calling.
You may have meant r/natureismetal instead of R/natureismetal.
^^^Remember, OP may have ninja-edited. I correct subreddit and user links with a capital R or U, which are usually unusable.

Good bot
Can someone ELI5? The perspective makes it hard for me to see what's happening.
Who poured Mountain Dew in there?
Looks like Mountain Dew, delicious!

Its nature, survival of the fittest.
Plants 1 Frogs 0
Chances are that OP or someone else owns this plant. If so, then there is no point in destroying the plant.
Naw, pitchers and other carnivorous plants target insects. The digestive juices, if anything, are a tasty snack for the frog (esp if there's an insect in there already). I have a couple pitcher plants in my apartment and they're great for gnat control, but it takes a long time for the insects to completely dissolve.
This plant actually has a frog in its throat lol
Well yeah, that's what purple pitchers do, they lure in small animals with sweet smelling juices before closing and drowning them in dissolving juices to basically absorb them for nutrients
ouch oof owie bone dissolving juice
You ruined it.
woosh
Please tell me another fact that everyone knows
Of Shakespeare's 39 plays, only one was called Hamlet
