Blood

Blood drips from my head
Blood lands on the floor
Blood dried on my hands
Blood scratched in the door


   I woke from this blackout
   My entrails bound 
   Doubled over in pain
   My face on the ground 

Blood thick deep and red 
Blood mixed up with mine
Blood laden footprints
Blood glitter blood shine


  My mind is a mixture
  Of poison and pain
  Empty pill bottles
  Tossed in the drain

Blood pounds through my heart
Blood fills my eyes
Blood on my knife
Blood failing to rise

  Knife through his heart
  Body still gasping in pain
  I lay unable  to move 
  Watching his life drain

Blood trails out of his heart
Blood runs down grooves of wood
Blood never forgives
Blood never  it should

  Now it’s all over 
  He’s finally died
  Now to forget him
  If I survive
