My first real attempt at a poem.

Strive, survive,

Wonder why you're still alive.

Try to keep it,

keep it away,

But now you need it,

Only for today.

 

You think you'll find another way,

But who's to say you have a say?

A poor feeling, a jerking descent,

But you've been in bed the entire day.

 

It'll all be fine,

You'll learn to dine.

You'll stave off death,

You'll finally shine.

Every cave has an opening,

It's there, just go,

Go now,

Don't be too slow.

 

There could be light,

But it's not what I see,

I dream at night,

But they're mocking me.
