Plug in outlets used as terrarium timers?
My room mate has a bearded dragon and I want to get some alexa enabled outlets for various places in the house. Can you set the outlets to turn on/off the same time every day? I want on for the daytime heat light to be on say 6am to 8pm then the night light outlet to be 8pm-6am for example without commands.
For not we're just using mechanical timers but it was just something I thought about.
I also tried searching a little while and couldn't find anything pertaining to this

Why do you need Alexa???
Any smart plug will do this, however...
Mechanical timers are a lot more reliable, unless you want your dragon to die randomly - stick with them.
Well I was planning on buying like a pack of 4 outlets but only really need 1 or 2, figure if they will do it too then I'll just get the bigger pack. That way if he moves out etc I still have outlets I can sync with alexa
Yeah good point less chance of mistakes.
Yeah, I mean, mech timers cost nothing. Buy two and choose your home automation unaffected by someone who is potentially leaving you at some point!!!!

Alexa - unleash the dragon
To change the lights, in which case, knock yourself out
Still new to this whole thing. Still trying to figure out what sort of stuff will make life easier for me.
I know the feeling.
Essentially, something static like that -> mechanical. Set and forget.
My coffee machine, which sometimes I need on at 4:30 and sometimes at 5:30, with no real pattern -> automation.
Central heating, where you can train it to learn heating patterns, or react to you leaving work -> automation.
As far as reliability, the Kasa plugs will tell you (send alert to your smartphone) if they go offline.
