Ps3 controller over USB oddities
So Day 3 of all this is here, and I am attempting to get my Ps3 controller to work over USB. I am running Mint 18.3 Cinnamon x64
(NOTE: If a PS4 controller would be easier to use on this version of Mint I will use it instead)
I had read in numerous places that I shouldnt' need any exItra drivers, and that I should be able to plug it in and use it. That doens't seem to be the case though. The controller lights up as Controller 2 (The PS3 LED shows under the 2). I was able to calibrate half of the controller using JSTEST-gtk.
It showed the controller as 2 separate ones under the Preferences window, and each 1 looked at a different side of the controller. I had read that that is an issue currently, but have not found a solution.
I was attempting to get the controller to work with SNES9X, PCSX and PCSX2, and eventually MAME and a few Steam games.
I have Joystick and JSTEST-GTK installed.
Using LSSUB I see my controller
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 054c:0268 Sony Corp. Batoh Device / PlayStation 3 Controller
Any thoughts or suggestions?
