Looking to get suggestions for filling letters on a valve cover.

I've got a valve cover that I'd like to fill in. The plan is to fill in the text, powder coat the whole thing, then laser engrave something new in place of the old text.

Or since I'm laser engraving, maybe opinions on having someone grind the area flush with the rest of the valve cover and then laser engrave there.
