Where do I start with Baudrillard?

So I'd like to learn about Baudrillard's theory of simulacra, both out of pure interest and because I want to use it in a paper. I realized that "Simulacra and Simulation" was probably too hard to grasp without background knowledge after 1 or 2 pages. It seems I'd have to read at least "Symbolic exchange and death". Would that book be an actually comprehensive starting point or are there better works by/on Baudrillard to begin with? (Specifically for the simulacra theory, I'm aware he also wrote about other topics such as America)

Also, feel free to post your personal tl;dr summary or concrete examples of the simulacra theory, everything that makes it less abstract would be much appreciated. What I want to do in my paper at this point is arguing that fascist ideology and the way it made use of futurist art can be seen as a simulacrum, but I'm still unsure if that isn't nonsensical from the way Baudrillard uses the term.
