Tips for a seasoned FPS player who can’t seem to adapt?

Just as the title says, I’ve played many FPS games such as battlefield, and some of the previous Cod games, and I was quite good at them. I had no problem with those games and became skilled at them quite easily. However, when I play WWII I’m just.. dazed and confused. I just can’t seem to ‘git gud.’ I just can’t seem to win any gunfights and feel like I’m losing battles I should’ve won. I can do good at the War game mode particular because it’s similar to modes I’ve seen in battlefield and such, but when I step into a game of TDM, DOM, or KC I simply struggle to have a positive score and end up getting destroyed. Any tips that could change my game? Thanks in advance.
