Bugbear Battle

The group climbs their way up a cliff to where they need to be

I decide to have some fun

I tell them that a bugbear is lurking about on top of the cliff, and they had best launch a surprise attack

I hype up this battle for at least 10 minutes

Entire group delves into strategizing

They create the perfect plan

Dragonborn readies a fire spell

I tell them the bugbear hears it and turns around

”HEY THERE, FRIEND! IN THE MARKET FOR ANYTHING?”

Turns our bugbear is just a wandering merchant

I hype up a battle and make everyone strategize for nothing

I start giggling like an idiot as the bugbear starts laying out his merch

Gnome rogue has face on table, laughing

Tiefling bard ready to slit my throat
