Throat hurting after only few days practicing larynx control

For the past week I’ve been practicing control on lifting my larynx. For the first time yesterday I was able to start humming with it lifted getting the head resonance.

Now today my throat hurts and I haven’t tried again today. Is this an issue, is it normal? Could it be that my throat muscles are just getting used to being used?
