What do to when there's a new kid in class and he's a total asshole

There's this new kid in school, he came from some more north (I live in Finland) he had to move because a bully beat him up and then he beat up some innocent weaker kid. The moment I saw him I knew I wont like him and when he started pushing me and all around being a dick and starting beef but you can't just beat up the new kid because the teachers are allways on the new kid's side even if he/she started it. I was about to beat his ass when he pushed me and I hit my arm on the coat hanger thing and now there's a pretty painful dent on my arm. I hate that asshole and I dont know how to go about this, any advice?
