Growing up poor in TSCC

I grew up poor, and I mean dirt poor. 2 TBM parents and 4 testimony bearing children in a house that was no bigger than a 20' square (not even remotely exaggerating).

We also happened to live in the boundaries of a pretty well-to-do ward.

Thinking back, I was subjected to way more 'cliquey' shunning based on social status from the members and their kids than I ever was at school. So much for "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God".

Just another hypocritical mormon point to add to my long-ago broken shelf.
