Roth vs. Traditional IRA when pursuing PSLF
I know that Roth IRA contributions are generally preferable to Traditional IRA contributions. However, I am wondering if there is a tool that calculates savings to those engaging in PSLF pay-as-you-earn student loan programs. For example, I make ~65k/year, and my public loans amount to ~120k (law school).
Assuming that my loans are fully forgiven after my 10 years in a public job, would it be better to contribute to a Traditional IRA to lower my AGI, and therefore my monthly payment?
Thanks!
