first time actually taking a machine apart

I've finished my level one millwright training and have been working in the machine shop at the school for about a month for my placement. been doing odd fixes, handles, draw-bars, shear-pins, half-nut adjustment and such, nothing interesting.

finally got to take a lathe today to fix the little piece that allows auto feed or threading to be engaged but not both. not sure what to call it.

shop millwright gave me the new part and told me it was in the apron, other then that I went into it blind. had a lot of fun and learned a lot, I know I picked the right trade.
