Need Guidance Getting Going (MA)

23 years old, no credit, no debt. 2000$ to my name. Make 200$-300$ a week at grocery store part time. Total monthly expenses around 200$, (I live with my Dad). About to finish my first year at community college (business admin. program, yet to choose a major path). Will graduate with associates degree for only the price of books. A day will come soon where I will have to be independent, need the guidance to make sensible investments now for the future. My Dad won't be around forever, I need to become independent asap, want to invest in real-estate. Don't know how to get going, I would appreciate any help guys. Will be going to Umass Amherst for business school, trying to get scholarships and keep grants going (I avoid loans like the plague, within reason). Am I too little, too late? I feel old to still be in school (I know that sounds silly, but all my friends are graduated and back smoking weed in their parents basements, literally...)
