Need new laptop. Want to start gaming

I have been a Mac user for a few years, but I am over it. I want to game and have not had many options on the mac. I am still in college and have a budget of about $1000. I still need to do basic things like Microsoft word and other basic college things. I also want something on the lighter side, as I will be carrying to all day every day to classes. Wont be doing any serious gaming. Probably just like fortnite and AOE. Any suggestions?
