Powerslide Imperial Megacruiser 125: problems?
Hey everyone. I am considering buying Powerslide Imperial Megacruiser 125's (I love the bright yellow or orange ones), but I am a little hesitant since I occasionally see people complaining about the liners/general comfort, as well as the durability of the frames.
I fell in love with the look of these skates the moment I saw them -- to me, they are the sexiest skates out there. I love the look of the boots AND the frame. The bright colors are perfect. So, I am really hoping there aren't serious problems with the comfort/durability.
- I have read that the Fat Boy liners are "shit". However, according to the Powerslide website, the three Imperial Megacruiser colors come with three different liners:
Yellow: MyFit Fat Boy Medium
Orange: MyFit Recall Dual Fit
Pink: MyFit Fat Boy Dual Fit
-
How are these liners? Any serious complaints?
-
Are there any significant differences between the liners in the three different models?
-
Is it possible to purchase different liners and wear them in this shell?
- I have read that the Imperial Megacruisers (non-PRO) come with frames that are not very durable (PS Unity one piece 255mm AL). People have reported bending the frames from sliding and jumping off curbs. While I don't plan on getting huge air and landing hard on my skates, I want them to be durable enough to handle day to day sliding, curbs, etc.
-
How are these frames? Are they as vulnerable to bending/breaking as I sometimes read?
-
How are the Imperial Megacruiser PRO frames (PS XXX 260mm AL)?
-
Should I simply put PRO frames on non-PRO boots if I want the neon colors with better frames?
-
If the liners are really that bad, I'm thinking I could order the Seba FR1 boot and use the Powerslide 125 frame (either non-PRO or PRO, depending on the answer to Question #2). Is this possible?
-
Any other advice? I'm new to the world of skate parts/customization, but I'm trying to learn as much as possible!
Thanks!
