Anyone else not happy about announcing?

So I'm about 15 weeks along now and haven't told any of my family. I'm not really that close with them and they are generally kind of cold emotionless people. My mom passed away about two years ago and she was the only one who had any positivity in her. With the first kid I just told her over a phone call and she blabbed to the whole family with excitement so I didn't have to. I'm thinking when I announce I'll just be hit with pity because "poor grandbaby won't have grandma", it all kind of sucks because most people are all so happy to announce and here I am dreading it and anxious. I think I'll just send out a "big brother" picture card with my first son in the mail to everybody so I don't have to talk and say it.
