Very excited to introduce my new friend Terry!
Been waiting awhile to make a trip to my local reptile rescue. Last week I got to take a look at there turtles up for "adoption" and I found this guy! https://imgur.com/a/1zL7K
The location said Terry (short for Scary Terry if you watch Rick and Morty!) had some issues with shell rot awhile back but a month or so ago he had his blood tested and shell checked and is claimed to be in good health.
They said no one has shown much interest in him because he had shell marks so I figured he was due a shot at life outside the rescue! Shy at first but he's already been basking some in just the week we've spent together, according to the rescue its progress for him.
Glad to give a turtle friend another shot with (hopefully) a better environment than his previous owners.
So far he only nibbles on his kale and leafy greens but I'm limiting pellet feedings until he shows more interest in veggies. Think I should do just veggies until he starts to like them, then reintroduce pellets?
That and more advice is welcome, as always! Thanks guys!
