Certification Newbie here

Hello,

Currently studying for the A+. Looking forward to gaining multiple IT certifications to move up in the IT world. I have a BA in Computer Technology have a little experience with programming, networking, and business intelligence. However, being in the same help desk position across a couple companies for about 8 years now, I fear that I have become too comfortable. Ultimately, I have reached my limit on lateral movement and want to do/earn more.

My question to you good redditors is given my current knowledge and experience, what is a realistic time frame for earning the CompTIA certs (specifically A+, Net+ Sec+)? Open to any and all strategies.
