Making my (okay) vocals sound great
Examples before I explain:

I don't have a great voice. It's serviceable, but I haven't learned how to record it properly yet. Above I've posted examples of voices that I feel are very similar to mine, however, unlike my own recordings, I love the way these vocal tracks sound. These recordings aren't too bright, kinda in the back of the mix (yet still defined), and just do a lot of good to voices that aren't classically strong. As someone with a similar "character" voice, how do I achieve this sound? Reverb? Mixing? Microphones? Any and all help is appreciated.
