Passed CEH V9

I passed the exam yesterday with 86% though i answered 112 questions correctly!! I have 7 years experience in IT (but mostly general such as networking and website design) Anyway what i have done

• Read the Oriayno study guide (this helped paving the way)
• Registered for the official course (5 days of 8 hours sessions), (2700 slides of material) and (iLabs)
• The sessions concentrated on the new methods in hacking to overcome the old tools in the official course.
• The labs are very helpful and save time than creating your own lab (though you still need your own lab eventually)
• skillset free ( it will get you in the exam mood )
• 3 months of 4 hours studying daily

The exam as you may have read before; the exam is not hard and there are some questions that are similar, but in general it focuses on the basics, such as nmap basic commands, tools used in auditing and cracking (Aircrack-ng) and general concepts of IDS and IPS.

Now i have heared a lot of hate toward CEH and its understandable, but dont forget this is the entry level certificate at ECC and by all means you wont be a hacker after it. Like any other study certificate this will give you the keys and YOU have to open the doors. So anyone studying for it keep it up and good luck. And thanks for everyone who provided guideline here.
