West Ham - most peoples second favourite football club.

OK..So let me start by saying I am a Notts County Fan. But there are a few teams in Britain that whoever they support, most genuine fans want to see flourish. West Ham is top of that list in my view.

Why? Simply put they are a genuine working-class, family club rooted in the East End of London with a pedigree and class that goes back generations. None of your corporate "Red Bull " Chelsea or Man U nonsense. If West ham were limited financially it was more than compensated for by the atmosphere, passion even love generated inside and outside Upton Park. If supporting a football club was ever more than what just goes on on pitchside then the Hammers were the template for that. The current owners have pissed that away in a matter of years. The atmosphere is now corrosive.

They have failed to realise a football club is exactly that - a CLUB. We suffered the same at Notts County. Dreadful owners with ridiculously inflated ideas who put the worlds oldest club just one game away from going out of the league. Sullivan and Brady will take you on the same track, not through malice, not even through incompetence, but simply because they have torn the heart out of the community spirit upon which the hammers relied on, sold for a few beans they hope one day will grow into a giant beanstalk. Its a corporate fairytale with no happy ending.

I fear the worst and think relegation is certain. But frankly, if it happens long term it may be in your best interest because surely they will depart. The move to the Boleyn should live in infamy. Nothing can be done to save it. Doesn't matter how many more seats they put in to take it closer to the pitch, it simply isn't a "ground". It doesn't smell of Bovril, Brylcream or B.O. Just Bullshit. Technically it may be an excellent stadium, but one that is suitable for American football, not a November Wednesday against Stoke City.

Good luck Guys I for one wish you the best.
