Can I machine wash/dry a suit jacket and pants?

The jacket is made from 65% polyester, 33% rayon, 2% spandex. The pants are 61% cotton, 31% polyester, 2% spandex. They aren't really dirty, but my cats enjoy lurking in the closet and both the jacket and pants are absolutely covered in cat hair. I need them to be cleaned up and wearable by Friday morning and was wondering if it would be safe to machine wash/dry them. They're both Merona brand if that matters. Thanks for any help or advice.
