LPT When speaking your own language to someone who doesn’t know it very well, the most important thing is to pause between each word.

That’s more important than speaking loudly or even slowly. We don’t realize it because we hear the different words so clearly, but to a non-native speaker, it is very difficult to understand where one words ends and the next word starts. Not a long pause, but just enough so they can hear each separate word.
