Do you consider yourself a Civilian?
Following on from this downvote train Where I stated that no British 'civilians' had been hurt in the Salisbury Nerve agent incident, It got me wondering if the public perception is that UK police are civilians.
Personally I've never considered myself a civilian, and indeed the Oxford English Dictionary agrees with me. We also make the distinction between civilian staff and Police officers, implying that Police officers are not civilians.
And of course there's the fact we can be ordered to do stuff against our better judgement.
So, do you feel like a Civvie? Is it me that's out of step here?
(incidentally my post re the poisoning was only from T. Mays perspective - and we all know how much she likes us, right?)
