Weird one... GIF files crash video driver. Can't seem to fix it.

Open | Windows

Computer is an acer aspire with the intel HD 620 graphics. Long story short, I can play games, youtube all I want, browse the web with no issue. However, if I start looking at GIF files, after about the 7th or 8th GIF, the video driver will crash, the display will go black. A minute will go by, and the computer screen turns back on and says that that the video driver crashed, and that it's using the basic Microsoft driver instead. It's almost like GIF files are taking up all available video memory or something like that. I tried updating the video driver. I can not update the driver through intel. When I try, I get a message saying that the computer has a custom driver and to get a new driver through ACER. The computer has the latest ACER video drivers. Halp plz!
