How to stop videos from autoplaying while allowing gifs to autoplay?

I changed the media.autoplay option in Firefox's about:config to false, which successfully stopped videos from autoplaying, but had the unfortunate side effect that the gifs on reddit now no longer autoplay as well. Is there anyway to stop just the videos from playing while leaving the gifs unaffected?
