Help with essences - Which items to save/use on.

So I've been searching, maybe I haven't looked deep enough, but are there any white items or items in general that I should be using my essences on?

I have quite a few but unsure which items.

Items I do know to use essences on are Steel Rings (but i haven't seen any drop).
