We need to talk about nade physics
Hey guys.
Didn't see this subject being brougt up before, so I guess i'll give it a shot.
Still not 100% sure how I feel about nades in the game. I'm not certain that it is a bug or intentional, but nade mehanics works in a way thay my head really can't comprehend. Either you die instantly as you should when you stand in a nade or a few feet away. Otherwise I think you should only take a certain amount of damage when the blast hit +5-7 feet away. But instead, what happens is that if you run on elevated surfaces, you will be pushed away from the blast direction that might kill you in one scenario, but not on another in a similar situation but with another surface. you see the initial damage from the nade in the clip below, but eventually dies from what the game consider as 'falling'.
Here is an example: https://plays.tv/video/5aa6ea1a676beb7b77/nade-physics-pubg
I'm sure others can relate. In the scenario I linked with full level 3 vest/helmet, I don't personally think I should have died from that distance, but rather take the initial damage that I get in the beginning of the blast or at the very max half hp. Thoughts? I'm not personally sure this is intentional, but rather a bug. If it is a bug, please redesign the way you die. The current one is just plain stupid.
Am I alone on this one?
TL:DR; Nade physics kills you in scenario's where it is doubtful you should die. Nade physics will also NOT kill you in scenarios where you SHOULD undoubtedly die. Regardless it would be nice to have the kill model redesigned.
