Felt strange, and old, watching a music video.
So I just watched this video from r/listentothis. It was a pop song with a woman singing, it was pretty good, but it made me feel so old. I'm only (nearly) 28 but this singer looked like a baby to me, and it got me thinking how strange it is to get older. When did the pop-stars stop being my age? I feel like I should still be 21, or a teenager. I feel like it was yesterday. Was I so much more confident and optimistic then, or am I only imagining it? I'm pretty sure I'm imagining it. I'm pretty sure I was an anxious, manic, wreck back then and my life has improved a hundred fold, but I still have this strange feeling that back then the world was all wine and roses. So I also drank one whole beer before listening to the song ( I know, someone stop me!) and it just had a strange effect on me. Anyway, it was a nice song- 1950 by king princess, not amazing but worth a listen. Anyone else have weird moments of realizing you're getting older, maybe that you're older than what you think of yourself as?
