Overinflated Used Record Market (MAJOR RANT)

Discussion

I imagine I'm going to be attacked and flamed for such a post but the current situation is so out of hand I'm getting fed up!

The second hand vinyl record market is getting out of hand thanks to dickhead hipsters who think it's acceptable to pay/bid £25/30 for a used Ziggy Stardust (and other popular artists) lp in good/very good condition. It's a complete joke. Considering it's been proven that 52 percent of all vinyl bought ISN'T EVEN PLAYED (and 8 percent of those don't even own a turntable FFS and those that do use cheap, portable case style turntables that sound crap and ruin records!).

Up until even a few years ago the used record market was reasonable, with bargains to be had. Even the records mentioned above wouldn't typically go over £10 roughly.

Thanks to hipsters and millennials using vinyl as a fashion statement it's ruined the market for people like me and others like me that play, cherish and enjoy music on vinyl.

Thanks to those morons the prices are so inflated/out of hand.

Please don't defend the practice of buying vinyl and never playing it. Don't defend the practice of buying vinyl if you have no intention of buying a turntable. It's abhorrent and wrong.

Rant over. I'm sorry if this was offensive or rude, I'm just frustrated and needed to vent.
