Anyone here had a bilateral salpingectomy on the NHS in the UK?

DISCUSSION

Hey everyone,

I posted this in r/sterilization a few days ago, but didn't get any responses, so thought I would try here!

I'm currently on the waiting list to see Gynecology to discuss sterilisation options after being referred by my GP at my request. However, when I said to my GP that I was looking for a salpingectomy, she told me that she didn't think that would be an option, that they usually just do tubal ligations. I'm really keen to get a salpingectomy as I feel it is more effective, plus I don't want any implants that have the potential to migrate.

So, as the title says, just wondering if anyone has had success in getting a bilateral salpingectomy in the NHS? And if so, whereabouts are you based? Thanks!
