Every March sucks for us
This time of year is always the same for me and my wife. It usually starts off great, as it’s our wedding anniversary at the start of February and we’re both happy. We’re also a very open couple when it comes to talking about things, there’s no secrets between us.But then feelings go downhill by the end of the month and all through March.
The anniversary of her Grandpa’s death is one of the first things that bring us down, but it’s what happens after this.
Just over a year into our relationship, she had a miscarriage and had to give birth to a stillborn child. We never found out the gender, but she’s a little girl in our minds and is happy in another place. It may also mean that we can never have children again.
It means that this time of year is torture for the both of us and it can be almost unbearable some days. As Mother’s Day lands in March here, it just adds insult to an already shitty time of year.
The one plus is we that we do talk about it with each other, so it doesn’t cause a rift between us. We both agree that this time of year can suck a fat one.
TL;DR Family member deaths + Miscarriage means late February and March suck arse.
