Need help with iPhone earphones pretty please! Not working?

As the title says really, haven’t played PS4 for a while and the only earphones I can find are my iPhone ones and for some reason they don’t seem to be working. Is there a fix for this?

Even when I go into adjust mic phone settings or whatever it is the only time I can get the icon to move is when I press the mute/unmute button, not when I speak?

If not is there a cheap alternative, only really need it for party chat tbh
