Annihilating moss with a soil cultivator

So I noticed in my new house that the moss is pretty invasive throughout my yard, even in areas that receive a lot of sun. A couple days ago I attacked it with some Moss Out and it killed it. I bought a $30 dethatcher as that's a highly recommended tool and while it did help remove dead moss, it was laborious and I constantly had to unclog the dethatcher. While I was at Goodwill I saw a $5 soil cultivator and picked it up.

MAN does this thing annihilate the moss. Once you give it a couple passes it just shreds and rips up the moss. It does remove some dirt but that will be replaced with top soil when I reseed.
