Visiting opening week/week after questions

My friends and I are going to visit cedar point opening week or the week after depending on the weather. This is about our only time to go because of college internships starting shortly after that. I was just wondering what the weather is like in the middle of may in the area, especially considering there is the wind from the lake coming in and is it too cold to ride the coasters? Is it manageable to do the whole park in one day during the opening week? We would most likely go the Tuesday of opening week.
