Help me understand season 2b (nsfw)

Hello everyone I am a newbie to reddit and this riverdale subreddit so hello :) I just have a lot of questions about Riverdale at the moment.

I can't be the only one confused, why does 2b even exist? 2a was a complete waste of time anyway because Archie was being conned by the Lodge's with fbi guy so everything done is literally void apart from Hiram's business advances.

Jason's death still remains a mystery? The reasons behind it are unclear and we still don't know why Cliff did it.

Also can Chic just leave, I am tired of his face like damn just kill Hal and Polly and be done with it. We get it, you're obsessed with Betty.

The core four are getting boring and the dynamic between them is so petty and messy. I would prefer to see more Cheryl, Kevin and Josie.

Jughead is infuriating as usual, I lowkey just want to knock him out. Betty needs to sort her shit out asap, I have no idea where the writers are heading with dark Betty and why it's so weirdly sexualised, I sort of think they're doing a bad job dealing with it.

Where do you think the season is headed? I want Archie to become a full on mobster because maybe then he'd be interesting.
