Trip to London

So, I finally managed to save up enough money to take a trip to London which I have always wanted to do. After Car loans, College debt, and a job hunt I have made it. I bought my ticket, got the passport, and booked a hotel.

I was just wondering if there are any UK men out there got any good drinking taverns that ain't overpriced and have a good selection of scotch/whiskey, or interesting locations an American Gamer nerd can hit in London? Edit: God damn guys! I know it's turning into a shit hole, but I have wanted to go since high school. Could at least not make me instantly regret spending all the money.
