Top baby items from STM to FTMs
Thought the FTMs might want a little help. Here are my top baby items outside the typical stuff.
-
Baby Brezza - we got an older model for $50 on Craigslist and used it every single day from when we started supplementing at 8 weeks til he was 1. We even traveled with it (when we drove). Worth its weight in gold.
-
Diaper caddy - got the JJ Cole one from Amazon but I think any one will do. Also used and still use this constantly. We live in a townhome and barely used the changing table in baby’s room.
-
Swaddles and halo sleep sacks for transitioning out of the swaddle. Got the fancy A&A and cheaper muslin ones too; couldn’t really tell the difference, but it was great to have the big ones and the smaller ones for when baby got bigger. Now used in diaper bag for spills, seating, a light blanket, etc.
-
White noise machine. We used the dohm. Loved baby’s so much we got our own. It’s so helpful to have white noise for sleep. Both us and baby.
-
Video monitor with sound. We got the infant optics one. Don’t get that one - the charger sucks. Get one with a clock. But another thing we use every day.
-
Moms on Call baby care books. These weren’t comprehensive but so helpful and get the credit for my amazing sleeper, good eater, and happy baby. I believe you have to teach kids how to sleep and eat and these books did it. I’m on their toddler book now and it is great.
-
Boppy lounger and boppy. Great for placing baby and breastfeeding in the beginning and great for helping to learn to sit up and then fun for climbing on!
-
Portable night light with red light. Great for the night feeds.
I’m sure others have tips.
Hope this helps!
