Why does Arin keep playing games he knows he won't like?
The latest Majora's Mask video was just absurd. It was another example of Arin doing something wrong and blindly blaming the game because of his mistake. But that's not what really bothers me. I don't care about his rage towards a game, I think everyone just has those games that are insanely popular, but you just can't stand. I know that's me with most Final Fantasy games. My problem is why is he playing them on the show at all? It's always the same cycle. They play a big game everyone loves, Arin and Dan try to put on a show and lose track of what to do, Arin gets pissed off and complains about the game, fans get pissed off, repeat cycle. And I'm sure the grumps know this happens so why do it to themselves? Why waste show time on a game you know you would hate? These episodes are unbearable to listen to because it's just Arin complaining about tiny things in the game that piss him off. Why not play a game you love? Show the audience games that you grew up with and enjoyed. I really don't get the logic behind this other than to get views. I can say right now I've drifted off of Game Grumps over the years because of this crap.
And for everyone telling people to stop judging Arin for how he plays the game which happens all the time, most people aren't pissed about how Arin is playing, they're pissed because all Arin is doing is bitching about the game. There are plenty of Game grump videos of them playing a game they both like and Arin doing terrible at it but it's still funny because the grumps are having fun. If your series is just filled with how much you hate the game or how stupid fans of the game are because they don't see all the critiques you do then of course your fanbase isn't going to be too happy.
