Skype for Windows Desktop asks for Credentials...constantly.
So I've done a little research on this and have found that "new" Skype has an auto update feature that cannot be disabled (as most of your probably already know, I'm a little late to this party), this is an administrative nightmare because every single freaking reboot it required admin credentials to install its updates. This is a major issue for me because I've got about 20 employees that use Skype on the regular (as of late). I looked into rolling back to Skype Classic (the good one...well...the ok one) and couldn't find it on their website, apparently it had been removed do to "installer issues." Am I the only one that is not liking this "updates whether you like it or not" model?
Anyways, does anyone have a decent work around to this issue that doesn't involve me giving my users permission to install programs (this was an actual suggestion made by an admin on their forums.) Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
